I can still remember my excitement when, as a child, I received a Brownie camera. I loved taking snapshots of family and friends, but in time I would pursue photography in earnest. For me, nothing is better than going out to explore a new place or finding different ways to shoot everyday experiences. I think most photographers would agree that we hone the art of seeing through our pursuits. I have participated in a variety of exhibits through my membership in the Ridgewood Camera Club, at The Art School at the Old Church in Demarest, New Jersey, as part of the Art of Healing exhibits at Englewood Hospital, and at the NY/NJ Trail Conference to name a few. These are always a privilege as I believe that Photographs are meant to be seen not only on a screen, but through the richness of printed images. In addition to my own shooting, I have volunteered with the Paterson Youth Photography Project. This program, affiliated with Oasis- a Haven for Women and Children, allows me to share my passion with ten to fifteen-year old students. We encourage them to express themselves beyond snapshots and selfies. The students' work has been exhibited throughout Northern New Jersey.
